PEC190: Introduction to Energy Studies

An introduction to the field of energy studies. Investigate and debate how we currently produce and use energy in our society and some of the economic, technical, social and environmental issues this raises. A different topical energy-related issue is introduced each week, discussing it from different points of view as represented by community, industry and academic leaders who are actively engaged in addressing the issue. Topics include oil depletion, global warning, wind power, sustainable transport and the hydrogen economy.
