PEC152: Principles of Physics
This unit covers the principles of classical physics, which relate to the study of the physical, biological and health sciences. Content: motion in one and two dimensions, force, Newton's Laws, work, energy, momentum, non linear oscillatory and circular motion, heat, hydrostatistics, flow rates, electricity, DC circuits, magnetism.

| Contact Time | Lectures: 3 hours per week; tutorials/laboratories: 3 hours per week.

| Prerequisites | Concurrent enrolment in MAS182 Applied Mathematics or MAS161 Calculus and Matrix Algebra; plus a final scaled score of 60% or more in TEE Physics or a pass in M120/PEC120 General Physics.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.

| Exclusions | Students who have successfully completed both M150 Physics IA and M151 Physics IB may not enrol in this unit for credit.
Students may not enrol in this unit and PEC120 General Physics concurrently.
