PEC120: General Physics
This is an introductory physics unit, designed to provide a basis for further studies in the physical sciences. It covers a range of topics including measurement, motion, waves, light, energy and electric fields. This unit does not require knowledge of calculus. Applications and examples are drawn from the biological, environmental, medical and physical sciences.

| Prerequisites | Nil.
TEE Applicable Mathematics or MAS164 Fundamentals of Mathematics are strongly recommended and may be taken concurrently.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.

| Exclusions | Students who have successfully completed M152/PEC152 Principles of Physics or M150 Physics 1A and M151 Physics 1B may not enrol in this unit for credit.

| Notes | Students without year 10 Science should consider completing PEC100 Preparatory Science prior to PEC120. |
