NUR333: Children and Adolescent Health -- Clinical Placement

Students will demonstrate learned knowledge, essential nursing skills and competencies within a paediatric/adolescent setting.  Students will be allocated to a clinical placement under the supervision of a preceptor and clinical nurse educator and will utilise an objective student professional performance tool based on ANMC competencies.

Contact Time

Clinical Practicum: 8 hours per day for 10 days (80 hours) within the allocated placement period.

Prerequisites

NUR303 Children and Adolescent Health.
Students who have not completed NUR303 in the previous semester must undertake revision of the necessary clinical skills in consultation with the Unit Coordinator before undertaking this unit.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
