NUR309: Contemporary Nursing Management in Health Care

Students will be introduced to a range of concepts and contemporary issues that influence the multidisciplinary healthcare work environment and its application to the nursing profession and practice.  This will include models of healthcare, current trends related to public health policy, epidemiological approaches, the relevance of health informatics, organisational management strategies and contextual influences on effective management and leadership that arise from interpersonal, social, cultural, political and economic pressures.

Prerequisites

Enrolment in the Bachelor of Nursing Conversion OR enrolment in the Bachelor of Nursing and completion of all core 100 and 200 level units.
Co-requisite: NUR301 Family and Community Health Care.
