NUR223: Medical and Surgical Nursing I -- Clinical Placement
Students will demonstrate learned knowledge, essential nursing skills and competencies developed in NUR203 within a medical/surgical setting. Students will be allocated to a clinical placement under the supervision of a clinical nurse educator and will utilise an objective student professional performance tool based on ANMC Competencies.

| Contact Time | Clinical Practicum: 8 hours per day for 15 days (120 hours) within the allocated placement period.

Students who have not completed NUR203 in the previous semester must undertake revision of the necessary clinical skills in consultation with the Unit Coordinator before undertaking this unit.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
