NUR206: Mental Health Nursing

This unit will focus on mental illness and models for effective psychiatric nursing care in the child, adolescent, adult and older adult.  This will include individual, contextual, developmental and modifying factors, contemporary and complimentary treatment modalities.  The unit will provide the theoretical knowledge to support the student in the acute and specialist mental health settings.  Knowledge and competencies will be demonstrated in structured clinical practice.
