NUR205: Medical and Surgical Nursing II

This unit will continue to focus on the relationship between specific physiological, psychological responses and associated nursing care related to various pathophysiological mechanisms of disease.  The integration of legal and bioethical principles relevant to clinical practice, along with related skills, pharmacology and therapeutics for the respective systems will be explored.  Knowledge and competencies will be demonstrated in structured clinical practice.

Completion of Part I of the Bachelor of Nursing and NUR201 Fundamentals of Pathophysiology and Pharmacology I and NUR203 Medical and Surgical Nursing I and NUR206 Mental Health Nursing and NUR223 Medical and Surgical Nursing I -- Clinical Placement and NUR226 Mental Health Nursing -- Clinical Placement, OR Enrolment in Bachelor of Nursing Conversion.
