NUR115: Health and Physical Assessment -- Clinical Placement

Students will demonstrate learned knowledge, essential nursing skills and competencies within an aged care/medical/surgical setting. Students will be allocated to a clinical placement under the supervision of a clinical nurse educator and will utilise an objective student professional performance tool based on ANMC competencies.

| Contact Time | Clinical Practicum: 8 hours per day for 15 days (120 hours) within the allocated placement period.

| Prerequisites | NUR105 Developmental Health Assessment.
Students who have not completed NUR105 in the previous semester must undertake revision of the necessary clinical skills in consultation with the Unit Coordinator before undertaking this unit.
