MID616: New Directions; Healthy for Life Practicum (Not available in 2010)

While on the required clinical placement for this unit, students will gain the knowledge of planning, protocols and procedures required to manage a Midwifery Primary Health Care Program. Students will complete a minimum number of Clinical Skill Competencies, which on completion will be submitted in a clinical portfolio.

Practicum: 120 hours.
External Students: Three-day workshop during Trimester 3.

Prerequisites

Students will be required to enrol in or have completed MID606 New Directions; Healthy for Life.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
