MID615: High Risk Neonatal Nursery Care Practicum (Not available in 2010)

The clinical practicum will allow students to explore and consolidate the physical, psychological, social, spiritual and emotional aspects of neonatal care. The clinical practicum will be completed while on placement in a Level 2 Neonatal Nursery. Students will complete a minimum number of Clinical Skill Competencies, which on completion will be submitted in a Clinical Portfolio.

Contact Time	Practicum: 80 hours. External Students: Four-day workshop during Trimester 3.
Prerequisites	Students will be required to enrol in or have completed MID605 High Risk Neonatal Nursery Care. Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
