MID604: Family Planning (Not available in 2010)

This unit will explore sexuality and reproductive issues across the life span. The student will explore pre-conceptual care, fertility awareness and issues around planning a pregnancy, and will gain an insight to the legal, ethical and moral issues that relate to the topic.
Students will acquire knowledge to facilitate client-centred care which will include adolescent health, indigenous health, caring for the culturally diverse family and those involved in risk behaviours affecting long term reproductive health.

Prerequisites

Enrolment in the Master of Midwifery.
