MCC353: Writing for the Screen
In this unit students learn about the formal elements of writing for the screen and develop a script for a short film in the genre of their choice. The unit will cover current industry standards and practice, with particular focus on writing according to funding criteria. It is recommended for students who wish to proceed to MCC302 Advanced Screen and Sound Production as scripts may be developed for production in that unit.

| Prerequisites | MCC128 Screen and Sound Production I (TV Studio) (or MED107 Screen and Sound Production I (TV Studio) or MED107 Screen Production I (TV Studio)) OR Permission of the Unit Coordinator (subject to proven ability to write with words and images).

| Exclusions | Students who have successfully completed MED312 Writing for the Screen may not enrol in this unit for credit.
