MCC244: Radio Presenting and Producing
This unit introduces students to the real world of live radio broadcasting. Rotating in the roles of producer, presenter and journalist you will produce and present a weekly one-hour magazine program on a local community radio station. Through this practice-based experience you will gain deeper knowledge of the policies and practices of the broadcasting industry while increasing your presenting, writing, researching and broadcast journalism skills.

| Contact Time | Lectures/seminars: 2 hours per week; tutorials: 1 hour per week; program production: 3 hours per week.
(Note: Lectures and workshops/tutorials commence in Week 1 of the semester).

| Prerequisites | MCC105 Introduction to Radio and Sound (or MED117 Introduction to Radio and Print Production or MED117 Introduction to Radio).

| Exclusions | Students who have successfully completed MED244 Radio Presenting and Producing may not enrol in this unit for credit.
