MCC226: Screen Production II

This unit is designed to encourage students to develop their intellectual and expressive capacities in screen (video) production. Students are taught aesthetic and conceptual conventions, operational and technical skills, and the production process by means of demonstrations and individual and group work. Students work individually and in groups to produce creative work on HD video. The unit includes location production.

Prerequisites

MCC128 Screen and Sound Production I (TV Studio) (or MED107 Screen and Sound Production I (TV Studio) or MED107 Screen Production I (TV Studio)) AND MCC116 Introduction to Screen and Sound Studies (or MED116 Introduction to Screen and Sound Studies or MED116 Introduction to Screen Studies).

Exclusions

Students who have successfully completed MED226 Screen and Sound Production II may not enrol in this unit for credit.

Notes

Graduate, Postgraduate and Honours students should enrol in the higher-level code for this unit.

Quota

This unit is subject to quota. Quota is due to space and equipment constraints and the production intensity. Selection is based on grades achieved in prerequisites. Preference will be given to students in Media Studies (BA) and Screen and Sound (BMedia).
