MCC211: Gender, Globalisation and Cultural Politics

This unit explores the impacts of globalisation practices on cultural and gender politics around the world. It addresses issues of cultural difference and culture clash, of cultural specificity, cultural resistance and cultural transformation in response to globalisation. These issues will be explored through a series of topical and contentious examples which foreground the connections between gendered impacts and cultural politics.
