MBS671: Effective Leadership

This unit will explore the nature and role of leadership using selected readings, case studies, discussion and practical application. Issues such as 'What is leadership?', 'What do leaders do?' and 'What determines a leader's success or failure?' will be tackled, as well as the key question, 'What is the difference between leading and managing?'

Lectures/seminars/workshops: 3 hours per week.

Prerequisites

Enrolment in a postgraduate-level course.
Students in Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (Masterclass) will be enrolled in MBS6712. Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.

Exclusions

Students cannot enrol in both MBS6712 Effective Leadership and MBS671 Effective Leadership for credit.
