MBS635: Advanced Financial Accounting

This unit provides an advanced study of corporate financial reporting and contemporary accounting issues. The topics will include (but not be limited to) accounting for financial instruments, foreign currency translation, leases, extractive industries, intangible assets and employee benefits. These will be analysed and interpreted in the context of the law, International and Australian Accounting Standards and generally accepted accounting practices.
