MBS619: Qualitative Business Research Methods

Qualitative research focuses on understanding, rather than predicting or controlling phenomena. Many business researchers believe it an essential approach in the study of the complexities of humans in business. The unit will examine the rationale and major principles underpinning qualitative research and consider popular methods in use. Students will consider the qualitative approaches to data collection and complete a small project requiring analysis and interpretation. Students will also develop their observation, interviewing and recording skills.
