MBS617: Human Resource Management Perspectives

This unit presents an overview of the management of human resources from the perspectives of both HR practitioners and line managers.  It examines the practical and theoretical underpinnings of day to day HR practices.  Topics such as recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and remuneration for the organisation's most valuable asset are discussed.  Students will participate in lectures, discussions, case studies and other experiential learning approaches.  (MHRM students are advised to select this unit early in their course).
