MBS562: Macroeconomics A

This unit provides a foundation in basic macroeconomic principles. A framework for analysis is developed and the determinants of unemployment, inflation and the level of output are discussed. Particular emphasis is placed upon the role of government macroeconomic policy.

Prerequisites

Enrolment in a postgraduate course.
Students should note that this unit assumes knowledge equivalent to BUS161 Introduction to Economics.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.

Students should ensure that they are familiar with introductory texts in micro and macroeconomics.
