MBS528: Managing Professional Practice
This unit provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully establish and manage a small professional practice business. By the end of the unit, students should have developed a basic knowledge about business commencement options, business planning techniques, small business financial control, management of day-to-day operations, effective marketing techniques, legal and ethical issues, and staffing of the business. They will also obtain an understanding of how different professions operate their respective practices.

| Prerequisites | Enrolment in both Veterinary undergraduate and C1083 Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (Masterclass) OR postgraduate studies in Veterinary Science.

| Notes | On completion of this unit, postgraduate Veterinary Students can apply for advanced standing towards the Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration providing it is not used to satisfy requirements of the veterinary courses.
