MBS522: Quantitative Methods for Business

Almost all managers will use descriptive and inferential statistics as part of their work to explain and interpret information. This unit introduces data-analysis and decision making tools for managers. Student will be able to identify situations in which quantitative analysis can support problem solving and decision-making. They will also gain experience in applying decision-analysis techniques and statistical packages in management contexts. These include: the modelling of organisations and business problems, descriptive measures of quantitative data; statistical inference.
