LLM590: Clinical Legal Education (Not available in 2010)

Students in this unit participate in a clinical program focused on active involvement at the SCALES community legal centre in Rockingham. Students will put their knowledge and skills into practice while assisting the community, and will develop professional commitment and ethical standards. Students also have an opportunity to assess the adequacy of law and legal processes in context. Under supervision of legal practitioners, students will see real clients and take responsibility for client files.

Prerequisites	L120/LEG120/LAW120 Research and Writing, L150/LEG150/LAW150 Australian Legal System.
Notes	Students taking the 4-point version (Summer) should enrol in LAW3901/LLM5901; students taking the 8-point version should enrol in LAW390/LLM590.
