LEG100: Law, Justice and Social Policy

This unit introduces students to the role of law in promoting justice and in creating and implementing social policy. Topics: defining law and justice, the interaction of law and social policy, the functioning of the criminal justice system, the impact of police, welfare and the court system on youth, Aboriginal social justice, gender and the law, and public interest in matters such as the regulation of the environment.
