LAW333: Advanced Criminal Law

This unit builds upon Criminal Law and Procedure, exploring issues relating to the criminal justice system from investigation to punishment and areas regarded as in need of reform. Major focal points will be a critical analysis of policy issues underlying the formulation and implementation of criminal law, and the treatment of certain groups by the criminal justice system, such as Indigenous people, women and young people. This unit aims to foster a critical approach to contemporary issues in Criminal Law.
