LAW312: Law Moot
The Law Moot unit provides students with the opportunity to study specialised areas of the law and to apply their knowledge and advocacy skills by participating in selected national and international mooting competitions, for example, the International Maritime Arbitration Moot, the Jessup International Law Moot, the John Marshall International Technology and Privacy Law Moot, and the Stetson Environmental Law Moot. The unit aims to develop the writing and advocacy skills of participating students.

| Prerequisites | L120/LEG120/LAW120 Research and Writing, L150/LEG150/LAW150 Australian Legal System, L152/LAW152 Torts, L130/LAW130 Criminal Law and Procedure, L260/LAW260 Contract, plus permission of Unit Coordinator.

| Notes | Recommended that students complete or are enrolled in the necessary background unit required for each mooting competition.
Students may not enrol in more than one moot at the same time except by permission of the Unit Coordinator and Academic Chair for Law.
