LAW152: Torts

This unit aims to acquaint students with the law concerning civil liability to compensate for harm caused by wrongful conduct (the tort). It covers the difference between civil liability and other forms of liability and what constitutes 'wrongful conduct' in the law of torts. The emphasis is on negligent conduct, including words and deeds, causing damage to the person or property or economic loss. Other forms of liability in tort including liability for trespass to the person are also examined.
