KAC066: Introduction to Legal Studies B (Not available in 2010)

Students will develop an initial understanding of legal method and analysis in the context of subject matter which may include any or all of: native title, protection of Indigenous heritage, human rights and anti-discrimination law, recognition of Indigenous customary laws. Assessment will evaluate both understanding of the subject matter and understanding of and skill in legal analysis. The unit will also introduce students to legal writing.

Prerequisites

This unit is restricted to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students entering the Kulbardi Aboriginal Tertiary Entrance Course (KATEC).
