KAC062: Foundations of Information Technology

This unit introduces students to the use of a word processing software package on a personal computer. Students are also introduced to the Internet as a study and research tool. At the completion of this unit students will be able to use various components of a personal computer system, use the word processor in various stages of writing and retrieve information over the Internet.

Prerequisites	This unit is restricted to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students entering the Kulbardi Aboriginal Tertiary Entrance Course (KATEC).
