ICT565: Knowledge and Information Security

This unit focuses on knowledge and information security from both an operational and a theoretical perspective. It explores the issues involved in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of knowledge and information assets from the perspective of human physical, computer, telecommunications, network and Internet security. Topics: risks to information and countermeasures; access control; security management; establishing trust; personnel security; security planning; disaster recovery and ensuring continuity; auditing and monitoring; security education, training and awareness strategies; and legal and societal issues.
