ICT107: Principles of Information Systems and Data Management

This unit provides an introduction to the principles of information systems and data management. The broad themes underpinning the information systems discipline are explored, including communication, representation, recording, problem solving, decision making, and systems theory; and the organisational and technical contexts essential for the design and development of information systems are covered.
Tutorial and practical sessions complement the theory material.
