EQU028: Koort Mooditj (Strong Heart): Pre-Nursing for Indigenous Students

This is an intensive four-week unit for students enrolled in the Koort Mooditj Pre-nursing course. Students will develop strategies and techniques to handle the pressures and routines of Nursing Studies. There will be an emphasis on university study skills, including nursing research and writing skills. Teaching activities will include nursing knowledge, communication skills, science knowledge, problem solving and health mathematics. Daily teaching focus will be on small group tutorials and clinical and science labs.

Contact Time	5.5 hours per day for 4 weeks.
Prerequisites	Enrolment in Koort Mooditj (Strong heart) Pre-Nursing for Indigenous Students course.
