ENG262: Principles of Electronic Instrumentation

This unit offers students a background in analog and digital electronics and instrumentation so that students are able to select the most appropriate instrumentation system for a given engineering measurement and control problem. In the analog part, it covers diodes and signal conditioning circuits and applications, analog meters, transducers, transistors and waveform generators. In the digital part, it covers fundamentals of digital electronics, digital meters, microprocessors and micro-controllers, digital and analog input/output circuitry and electronic noise.
