ENG141: Design Concepts in Science and Engineering

This unit describes a formal process for completing an engineering design task. This process stresses the importance of including global issues as design objectives. These issues include ethics, sustainability and social responsibility. The unit includes techniques for developing skills in critical and creative thinking, problem solving, project management and documentation. The core assessment activity for this unit is a significant team project that emphasises social awareness and the importance of sustainable solutions.
