EGL269: Contemporary Creative Writing: Image and Scene

Students (including creative writers and non-fiction writers), will work with and study various cultural art forms, including contemporary fiction, in order to build their skills in better visualising and writing scenes and images. Various art forms including poetry, painting, sculpture and film will be used to better understand the importance of texture and shape, sequence and character, image and scene. Students may choose to write prose or poetry. Workshops will include reading and commenting on each others' work.

Prerequisites

Nil.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.

Exclusions

Students who have successfully completed EGL269 Creative Writing: Text and Practice II may not enrol in this unit for credit.
