EGL223: World Writing Today

Explore representative contemporary poetry, drama and fiction in World Writing Today. The unit concentrates on, but is not limited to, works by internationally recognised writers. The unit aims to introduce students to recent writing from around the world that poses challenging questions about nationalism, multiculturalism and the emerging field of 'critical white studies', and to provide a theoretical framework through which to engage with common themes and changing ideas.
