EDU739: Quantitative Approaches to Research

The unit addresses designs and methods of quantitative research used in educational and social science inquiry. Students will consider how quantitative data are generated, analysed and interpreted in research and evaluation projects in education and the social sciences.  The unit will include a variety of research designs; methods for collecting data using different formats; confirming the quality of data for the purposes for which they are collected; relating sets of data; and methods for comparing groups.
