EDU671: Mentoring
This unit explores conceptual issues and practical concerns surrounding mentoring in various educational, community and workplace settings as a strategy relevant to all ages. Topics include: the concept of mentoring and assumptions underlying it; different models of mentoring and applications; essential elements of effective mentoring relationships and features of effective mentoring programs. Participants can focus on areas of interest: developing or implementing a mentoring program; enhancing knowledge and skills as a mentor; building partnerships in their community or workplace.
