EDU629: Education Provision for Gifted and Talented Students

This unit will focus on education provision for gifted students in the classroom and other education and community contexts. It will address the teaching and learning adjustments that meet the diverse learning needs of gifted students in the classroom using a range of educational models used successfully within Australia and internationally. On completion of the unit, students will be well equipped to design, deliver and critique education provision for gifted students in the classroom and other education and community contexts.

Contact Time	Includes 5 intensive days in 2010 comprising of 3 days in July (first week of WA school holidays) and two Saturdays in August.
Prerequisites	Enrolment in the Postgraduate Certificate in Gifted and Talented Education, or a Masters or Doctoral degree in Education, or permission of the Unit Coordinator.
