EDU447: Collaborative Learning, Creativity and Motivation

This unit examines the theory, principles and practices of collaboration and motivation in teaching and learning.  Current research will inform students' understandings about how collaboration and motivation are paramount in optimising student engagement and achievement in primary, secondary and tertiary learning contexts.  Students will have the opportunity to critically reflect on collaborative and motivational practices in learning environments and develop ways of implementing and evaluating effective practice.

Prerequisites	EDU241 Processes of Learning or EDU242 Learning and Assessment: Theory and Practice or EDU245 Learning and Assessment Processes or EDU240 Facilitating Lifelong Learning or permission from the Unit Coordinator. Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
Exclusions	Students who have successfully completed EDU447/647 Collaborative Learning and Teaching or EDU448/648 Personal and Social Development and Education may not enrol in this unit.
