EDU2741: Science and the Curriculum (Secondary)
This unit, through campus learning activities, aims to develop in students:
an awareness of, and competence with, methods used to promote working scientifically in secondary science classrooms;
knowledge of curriculum developments in secondary science, and the ability to assess the suitability of these developments for local schools; and
a concern for, and competence with, strategies for promoting student interest in science.
All students will be equipped to teach both physical science and biological science in Years 8 to 10.

| Notes | Curriculum teaching minor in Science requires a minimum of two units (6 points) at Part I-level and at least one unit (4 points) at Part II-level from one of the following majors: Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Conservation Biology and Wildlife Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Extractive Metallurgy, Forensic Biology and Toxicology, Marine Science, Molecular Biology or Physics and Nanotechnology, or equivalent.
