CHI685: Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation of the Upper Body II

Builds on the principles and practice of neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation for the upper body taught in CHI683. Develop an advanced level of functional assessment of the upper body. Motor systems incorporating local and global stability dysfunction will be investigated and strategies to manage the dysfunction will be explored.
Other clinical approaches will include the examination and management of syndromes resulting from adverse neural tension in the upper limbs and, mobilisation and relaxation techniques for pain of spinal origin (thorax).

Prerequisites	Enrolment in the Master of Sports Science, Postgraduate Certificate in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation or Postgraduate Diploma in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation, or with the permission of the Academic Chair. Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
Notes	Students enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation should enrol in CHI6851.
