CHI683: Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation of the Upper Body

The principles and practice of neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation for the upper body are presented in a practical, experiential manner with emphasis on active care including topics on functional stability training, functional integrative training, mobilisation and relaxation techniques for pain of spinal origin (head and neck) and therapeutics for the cervico-thoracic spine based on responses to spinal loading. The development and utilisation of the clinical audit is highlighted.

Prerequisites	Enrolment in the Master of Sports Science, Postgraduate Certificate in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation or Postgraduate Diploma in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation, or with the permission of the Academic Chair. Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
Notes	Students enrolled in the Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation should enrol in CHI6831.
