CHI680: Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation in Overview

This unit builds on the principles and practice of neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation taught in CHI681. The principles of developmental kinesiology will be explored further and the facilitation of muscular agonist-antagonist co-activation by reflex stimulation methods and exercise will be highlighted. Advanced approaches to the assessment and management of muscle imbalance will also be explored. Contemporary methods of assessing therapeutic outcomes in the clinical setting and an introduction to clinical epidemiology and critical reasoning will be presented.

Prerequisites	Completion of Chiropractic degree or equivalent. CHI681 Principles and Practice of Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation, CHI682 Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation of the Lower Body and CHI683 Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation of the Upper Body. Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
Notes	Students enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation should enrol in CHI6801.
