CHI283: Physical Examination

This unit introduces students to the process whereby a clinician investigates a patient for signs of disease. Students will have the opportunity to learn the techniques and procedures associated with physical examination of the different body systems and the ability to synthesise findings. The unit builds upon other units by providing the student with the opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, manual dexterity, attitudes and behaviours to be a safe and effective health care provider, focusing on clinical examination.

BMS101 Introduction to the Human Body; CHI108 Functional Human Anatomy/BMS108 Comparative Musculoskeletal Anatomy/VET108 Topics in Comparative Mammalian Anatomy; BIO152 Cell Biology; CHI109 Chiropractic Skills and Principles I; BMS107 Principles of Vertebrate Physiology; CHI280 Human Anatomy I; BMS264 Biomedical Physiology and concurrent enrolment in CHI282 Human Anatomy II.

Quota

This unit is subject to quota. Preference will be given to students in Chiropractic.
