CHI280: Human Anatomy I

The first of two anatomy units covering human anatomy. With CHI282, it covers the functional, macroscopic and normal imaging anatomy of the human body. The unit covers all body systems other than the central nervous and locomotor systems.
Practical sessions are varied and include prosections, surface anatomy, fresh organs, medical images and museum specimens. Practicals are complemented by project work and presentations of surface anatomy.

Lectures: 4 hours per week; practicals: 3 hours per week; seminars and workshops: 2 hours per week.

Prerequisites

BMS101 Introduction to the Human Body and CHI108 Functional Human Anatomy.

Quota

This unit is subject to quota. Preference will be given to students in Chiropractic.
