BUS209: Marketing and Advertising Law

Legal literacy in the laws regulating the marketing and advertising of goods and services in Australia. Focus: common legal issues faced by marketers and advertisers involved in the sale and promotion of products and services. Acquire sufficient legal knowledge to achieve total quality management. Topics: intellectual property in marketing (patents, trade secrets, copyright, designs, trademarks), passing off actions, product labels and packaging, product liability, advertising law, promotions, and if time allows, competition law.
