BUS204: Business and Technical Communication

Combines a theoretical and practical module that will position the student favourably in the business environment. Topics covered: decision management; corporate strategising; and the ethics of professional communication. Particular emphasis is placed on the complex challenges of cross-cultural communication confronting international business. The practical workshops address specific skills-acquisition such as: the writing of business reports; cognitive control of argument; effective business presentations; and how to conduct yourself in front of the television camera.

Prerequisites	Nil.
Exclusions	Students who have successfully completed C170 Business and Technical Communication may not enrol in this unit for credit.
