BUS162: Australian Business and the Economy

An applied unit that provides a comprehensive account of how Australia's economy works and the constraints on business. It examines the dynamics of the Australian economy and the policy issues facing it. It covers all aspects of the economy with particular emphasis on the policies and institutions which influence the Australian economy. Among the key topics covered are unemployment, inflation, government expenditure and taxation, interest rate policy, manufacturing, services, mining and agriculture, the financial sector, exchange rates and international trade.
